STAND BY ME
Colorado. A few miles south of Redstone Highway 133 executes an abrupt hairpin curve and begins climbing up and over McClure Pass on its way to the town of Paonia, some 30 miles west. At the pass there is a wonderful stand of aspen trees that occupies the 'saddle' with a large, handsome grove. This shot was taken there. I used a long-focus lens to compress the scene, but the trees do grow straight and tall. And close together. Many 'eyes' watching every move. Prints nicely to 36inches on the long dimension.
